Time and Tide wait for no man.
All the while, amongst the hubbub of wild activity, new monsters prowl. They are patient, taking their time…
We cast our light into the depths of the dark social unknown; wild ideas, flashes of colour, freshness, all in abundance, flickering on the walls for the world to see. Through the noise, amongst the bubbles, the voracious fin circles.

‘New Tide’ – Acrylic on Canvas – 610 x 405mm
As I begin to journal about this most recent artwork, I hear in the background that Jackson Pollock’s largest drip painting, Number 7A, 1948 has broken records at Christie’s. This has me thinking, perhaps I need to be slightly looser with my paints!![]()
Pollock made history with movement, chaos and spontaneity. My history (still in the making; mark me) involves a slightly calmer and measured approach …often I stare at the canvas waiting for it to reveal a plan!
Pollock attacked the canvas with raw energy. I call on the spirits to negotiate with mine
Same passion. Different cardio.
That’s the beauty of art!
Whether it’s explosive movement or measured detail, it’s never really about what you look at… it’s what you see![]()
Number 7A, 1948 sold for $181 million at Christie’s. But this post isn’t about money; Pollock’s CLEARLY given no thought to dimensions!!! How many people have a wall that’s over 3 meters wide in their home?!😁
Dear viewer, may I strongly recommend you take a look at my work, where the same level of emotional ambiguity is available for a reduced size! Same experience, less drama and WAY EASIER to hang!
My thanks.

Nothing to see below; just me sealing the story while giving the painting a final glow!
